Plaster colour IS red.

Called a March fracture - not after the month, even though it did happen in March, but supposedly common in soldiers. Not usually too bad as long as you watch what you're doing for few weeks, just a bit of a pain.

Just a thought...is it the foot you use with the spade?? I wonder if you've been doing loads of digging and that's what's caused it?????

My thoughts exactly Nicos... my husband did something similar a few weeks ago - once he'd thought about it, he realised that it must have happened when he was digging to plant my fruit trees while wearing the wrong footwear.
